As you likely already know, the Ritz Carlton, Charlotte charged CIAA Party attendees a surcharge for servicing them during the 2015 CIAA Weekend.

Yesterday, the Ritz Carlton, Charlotte agreed to refund all of the fees that were charged during that weekend. Additionally, they have agreed to make a donation of $75,000 to the CIAA organization. Sounds like someone knows they were wrong :).

So, do you think things will be different during the 2016 CIAA Weekend Parties, or do you think hotels will just find a way to pass the expense off to the promoters? Also, will this incident be remembered by patrons, or will they quickly forget and just focus on the parties?
