The 2017 CIAA Tournament Remains in Charlotte!

In a statement on September 3oth, the CIAA organization stated, ““Relocation would not be in the best interest of the membership and its student-athletes at this time”.

Simply put, the 2017 CIAA Tournament Weekend is still on! As to whether CIAA Tournament Week events and parties will continue to be held in Charlotte, NC in the future, is anyone’s guess, but it will still in in Charlotte in 2017.

The controversial HB2 law has cost Charlotte, NC millions of dollars since it was voted in law. It has been the topic of many conversations, rallies, bad press, and business impacts. Will this law be repealed? Time will tell.
